Glen Wiggy is the author of “1536 Free Waters and Other Blackjack Endeavors – Finding Profit and Humor in Card-Counting,” a humorous book published in September 2012. The book chronicles the author’s experiences while playing blackjack during more than eight hundred casino visits from January 2001 until June 2008. It also introduces blackjack card-counting in a fun and easy-to-learn format.
Glen was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He is the youngest of six children from Tom and Helen Wiggy. After graduating from Midwest City High School (Go Bombers!) and the United States Air Force Academy (Class of ’88 – first class with refrigerators!), he spent 20 years in the Air Force as a career officer, mostly as a scientific analyst in test & evaluation, information operations and space systems. He also taught Probability and Statistics at the Air Force Academy. Upon retiring from the military in 2008, Glen spent a year at Camp Victory, Iraq, as a government contractor. In 2009, he settled in the Colorado Springs area and currently works for the federal government. He is also a parttime, online faculty member at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Glen has an MBA from Boston University and an MS in Mathematics from the University of Arizona.
Glen is married to Lori and has two children, Sarah and Mitchell, plus a son-in-law named Chris. He also has three beautiful grandchildren, Hayden, Harper and Jack. Last but not least is his dog, Newman. Glen’s hobbies include golf, skiing and blackjack…lots of blackjack.
